Empower The Next Generation

The next generation is our future. We aim to provide the opportunity for them to build their faith, character, and confidence; acquire skills and achieve academic success; learn leadership and become more engaged citizens. The rising living costs in the Bay Area are putting an unprecedented strain on local schools and families in low-income communities. There’s also a growing deficit in foster homes, so children are not getting placed as quickly in a home to get the care and support they need. In our community, we have an opportunity to build up young men and women to become future leaders, confident in their faith and image, and can also build up others.

Join CPC’s efforts to equip low-income schools and empower the next generation of students to reach their full potential.

LEAD ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

CPC has adopted this elementary school in San Mateo because most of the students are on food assistance. We serve the students, families and faculty through specific need based projects. LEAD Elementary is a TK-5 Magnet School of Literacy, Emotional/Social Learning and Enrichment, Academics, and Digital Arts Integration Themed School serving a low-income community.

GENERATIONS UNITED

Be a tutor or mentor for elementary school students in a marginalized community in Redwood City in partnership with Generations United. Tutors will help students read, complete homework, and play educational games or lead arts and crafts projects. Mentors will meet with a child once a week to provide guidance, emotional support, and role modeling. By providing focused attention on each student as a tutor or mentor, you can help students at Generations United gain confidence and reach their academic and life goals.

When: At least one hour weekly on Mondays through Thursdays 4:30-5:30 pm during the school year.

Where: Academic Enrichment Center at 895 2nd Avenue, Redwood City

BEACH PARK ELEMENTARY

This school is across the street from CPC so we are continually looking for ways to bless the teachers and staff so they can be encouraged as they work hard to develop students at Beach Park Elementary academically and socially.
